The challenge: bureaucracy, complexity, and risk
The come-cotas requires absolute precision, but was carried out manually, with calculations in Excel, prone to errors and rework. The team lost productivity and faced increasing pressure to maintain the reliability of information provided to investors.
Additionally, there were delays in publishing quota values, directly impacting the customer experience and creating extra effort for the IT team.
The solution: intelligent automation with Dynamics
Rio Bravo had already partnered with Smart since 2010. With a project led by Michel Ruiz da Silva (Middle Office Manager), we redesigned the process using Microsoft Dynamics 365, eliminating the need for manual spreadsheets and creating a secure, automated workflow.
As a result, the process execution time dropped from one day to just three hours — a 62.5% reduction.
“The 'come-cotas' was a traumatic process done manually. Today, with the implemented solution, we can complete it in about 3 hours. Currently, only we have this solution,” highlights Leonardo Oliveira, IT Coordinator at Rio Bravo.
Real-time transparency with the new Share Dashboard
A second solution was also developed: a Share Dashboard that automatically updates data and ensures immediate visibility for investors. Communication with the public was enhanced through automatic alerts, reinforcing trust and improving user experience.
