With this focus, Grupo Casas Bahia (GCB) — one of the largest retail chains in Brazil — decided to completely transform its supplier registration process. The result: a reduction from 40 to just 5 days in registration time, an increase in approval rate to 96%, and the elimination of manual tasks that consumed time and compromised productivity.

The challenge: a slow and fragmented process
Before the transformation, GCB’s supplier registration involved 17 steps across three isolated systems, heavily reliant on manual checks. This flow was slow, error-prone, and resulted in only 50% of applications being approved, directly impacting the company’s operational speed.
With a structure that includes thousands of employees, brands like Casas Bahia and Ponto, and a robust omnichannel operation, it was necessary to ensure a faster, scalable registration process aligned with market compliance and security requirements.
The solution: automation with Power Apps, Pages, and Automate
Recommended by Microsoft, Smart Consulting was chosen as the partner for this strategic project. Our team developed a complete solution based on three components of the Power Platform:

With this approach, the process was restructured into just five steps, with automatic validations and integrated management.
